Description
This critically endangered Regent Honeyeater builds a cup shaped nest constructed of strips of eucalypt bark and dried grasses held together with cobwebs and finer dried grasses lining the nest. While the female sits on the eggs her partner keeps a close eye nearby. Both help to raise the young. They feed mainly on nectar, so have given this one a kangaroo paw in a Royal Crown Derby vase to drink from.
