Description
Although they are often mistaken for marsupial mice, dunnarts are more closely are more closely related to quolls. When times are good they store excess fat in their tail, so that it ends up resembling a carrot in shape. When times are lean, they can live off this store of tail fat. So really, if their preference wasn’t for termites and other insects, they probably would eat donuts, if only to be able to store lots of fat in their tails.
