Description
During Covid I painted an orchid inspired exhibition for Michael Reid Murrurundi which was part of a pop up in Woollahra called Town and Country. This is the last piece I painted for that exhibition and the last piece available. It was initially called Cash Cow, as I had just spent half my savings on my calendars for next year, and the rest on framing this exhibition and the cupboards were almost bare. The desire for a real cash cow was palpable, so I painted one… this is a cattleya orchid and a dollarbird… Get it?
Unfortunately as it has proven that it is not a very successful cash cow I have renamed it. It is still one of my favourites despite the lack of sales because the colours are so vivid and beautiful! I have always been a fan of purple and turquoise.
This is an original unframed painting using professional watercolours on handmade 100% cotton rag paper.
Although this listing is for the unframed work only, it is available professionally framed. Please contact me directly to get a price for the framed work. Please note that I don’t post framed works, buyer would have to organise pick it up from the Mudgee area.
